Why am I being charged a $15.00 shipping fee on my merchandise order?

  • The Society provides high-quality merchandise at already reduced rates. In today's tough economic times, the cost of materials and shipping have increased dramatically. We used to include free shipping with merchandise orders and tried our best to insulate our customers from this fee, but the cost to the Society just became too much of a burden.

What advantage is there to becoming a member?

  • Membership in the Society for individual memberships (not including corporate memberships) is restricted to Fishery Officers according to our by-laws. We aim to promote the profession and provide opportunities to develop comradery. In the past the Society has provided academic scholarships and funds (wherever possible), to members in-need. We are a benevolent "association" which does not get involved in collective bargaining.
