2011 SPRFO Scholarship Winner
Laura Redekopp

Laura is currently in her first year at Trinity Western University working towards her Bachelor of Art Degree with a Psychology Major. Laura graduated from High School this spring with Honours. Not only does Laura excel in the classroom, she also has been very involved in her community. She leads a weekly youth group, teaches youth at her church, helps in Surrey environmental clean-up days and visits the elderly at a Seniors Center in White Rock just to name a few.

Laura has also travelled abroad to Guatemala to provide clothing, food and medicine to rural communities. While there, she also helped dig a well and build a school all while being immersed in the local culture by living with a Guatemalan family. Just to top is all off Laura has been the lead roll in the musical Guys and Dolls, awarded the Citizenship Award from her high school and voted “Most Inspirational Player” on her soccer team, twice. Congratulations Laura and we wish you the best of luck with your studies at Trinity Western University!

I would also like to thank all the other applicants that took the time to apply. If you weren’t successful this year, please apply again next year.
