The Society of Pacific Region Fishery Officers (est. 1993) was formed by dedicated Fishery Officers within the Province of British Columbia and the Yukon to promote the interests of all Fishery Officers.

The purposes of the Society are:

To maintain an association of Fishery Officers within the Province of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory to promote their interests;

 To promote, encourage and effect education, training, and achievements of the members of the Society in all matters relating to or affecting their vocation;

 To endeavour to secure a greater degree of recognition in their vocation for members of the Society;

 To promote benevolence, and to encourage Society members to maintain the highest level of professionalism and respect the views and interests of others.
